I'M MOVING MY WEBSITE TO ANOTHER PART OF CYBERSPACE, WHICH MAY CAUSE THE ODD HICCUP IN THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. IF SO, PLEASE BE PATIENT - NORMAL SERVICES WILL BE RESUMED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. (Who's old enough to recognise that phrase?)

Welcome to my website, now that summer has finally arrived, and with it the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I'm celebrating too, delighted with the good news that later this year a new British publisher, Head of Zeus, will begin publishing the Aurelia Marcella mysteries in Britain. They'll still be published in the USA by Poisoned Pen Press, but with a UK publisher they will be even easier to buy here, and in the Commonwealth. I'm in touch with Head of Zeus now to find out more about their plans for Aurelia's mysteries, so watch this space, and meanwhile look up the Head of Zeus catalogue. What an appropriately classical name for the company publishing Aurelia Marcella!

DANGER IN THE WIND, the fourth Aurelia Marcella mystery, is selling well, and is collecting some good reviews. It's available for ordering online, or from your favourite bookshop, and UK readers can order signed copies from my website.

Find out more about the book,
and read the first chapter.

All the Aurelia Marcella mysteries tell of life and death in first-century Roman Britain, the turbulent province of Britannia, on the very edge of the Roman Empire, and they all feature innkeeper Aurelia as a reluctant sleuth. You don't have to have read any of the earlier books to enjoy the newest one, though of course I rather hope you have, or you will!

The previous three Aurelia Marcella books are being re-issued with brand-new covers...the text is unchanged of course. And the first in the series, GET OUT OR DIE, also has a brand-new title, SHADOWS IN THE NIGHT. It's a great name for the mystery, except I need to make sure everyone knows this is a new title, BUT NOT a new book. The online bookstores don't always make this clear, and the last thing I want is for anyone to be misled into buying a book they already have. So caveat emptor, as Aurelia would have said. And if you haven't bought it already...all I (or Aurelia) can say is, what's keeping you?

All four of Aurelia's mysteries are out in trade paperback, hardback, and ebook versions. There are large print editions, and the first three have braille editions and MP3 audio versions which are beautifully read by Jacqueline King. Soon I hope DANGER IN THE WIND will be in all these other formats too.

Order a signed book or an audiobook. I can supply signed copies of all four mysteries to UK buyers through my order page. the first three in the series with their original covers and titles.

I also have a short story published in a 2011 anthology of mysteries by members of Britain's Crime Writers' Association,
GUILTY CONSCIENCES - find out more.
